Generosity is core to our strategy, as we make our animated videos, podcasts, classes, and other materials free for everyone to use. We are now focusing significant attention on business intelligence and digital insights in order to support this mission.
As our digital platforms expand and we grow our awareness efforts through digital channels, BibleProject needs to create a cross-channel understanding of marketing performance and leverage new technologies with ML to provide more guided experiences. We have an ever-growing need for data science experience to help us with these projects.
Data Science Projects: Help us serve our users better through machine learning enhanced experiences. Work with our technology team to create a predictive search tool that indexes our videos, podcasts, and web content. Dive into IBM watson to build a best-in-class chatbot experience for getting support and finding content on our site. Help us identify and implement a recommendation engine that can guide our users through an optimized learning journey.
Business Intelligence Projects: Help us gain more insights from our analytics as we build out our data ecosystem. Provide SQL support as we continue to bring our data sources into our BigQuery data lake Help us design and develop custom visualizations and metics in our Looker dashboards Explore quantitative user research and behavioral data to help us learn more from our audience and their patterns.
This position will start as a 10 hrs/week contract position, beginning Winter 2019/2020. You'll be working in collaboration with the Director of Web Technology and Data Insights Manager and a team of contract developers.
Compensation The position’s hourly rate varies depending upon the chosen candidate’s experience.
Location Remote applicants are welcomed. This position is contracted and will operate out of our office in Portland, Oregon OR remotely.
