About the Position

As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department. You will manage daily and weekly financial tasks and work closely with the Director of Finance and Bookkeeper while approving AP & GL transactions. The Accounting Manager will be expected to recommend financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for working alongside budget managers to ensure financial clarity among the whole organization.This is a full-time salaried position.

What You’ll Do

Prepare the company’s financial statements
Oversee the month-end closing and year-end closing
Assign duties to accounting staff as needed
Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
Prepare budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans
Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
Interpret and reporting financial data
Oversee the Bookkeeper and seasonal interns and approving AP and GL transactions
Act as the primary point of contact for our annual financial audit

What We're Looking For

BS/BA in Accounting preferred
7 years of comparable financial experience required
Technically proficient and experienced in:
- Financial reporting requirements
- Managing processes
- Financial software (Acumatica, MS Suite)
- Developing standards
- Developing budgets
- Tracking budget expenses
- Analyzing information

About the Position

Beginning: November 1st, 2020

Reporting to: Joel Paul, Director of Finance

Overseeing: Accounting team consisting of the Bookkeeper and seasonal interns

Compensation:

Salary varies depending upon experience
